goal of the International Relations, History & Political
Science Department, is to assist all students in developing
historical consciousness and perspective, mature judgment
on current and timeless issues, and cultural literacy. The
department's curriculum offers a broad range of courses
on the history of the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa,
and Latin America and on the theory and practice of government,
politics, and international relations.
The International Relations Department works closely with
the School of Education in preparing high school social
studies teachers. Courses numbered 300 or above are not
open to freshmen.
